PADL is a tool for creating and sharing padel match graphics. We keep the data we handle to the minimum needed to run the app, and we don't sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
PADL ("PADL", "we", "us") provides the PADL mobile app and the website at padl.xyz. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@padl.xyz.
What we collect
- Information you give us. If you join our waitlist or contact us, we receive your email address and anything you write to us. If you sign in or create an account, we process the identifier you use to sign in (for example, an email address).
- Content you create. The match graphics you build — player names, scores, event details, and any photo you choose as a background or court image. Photos you pick are processed on your device to render a graphic. They only leave your device if you choose to export, save, or share the finished graphic.
- Basic technical data. Standard app diagnostics such as crash reports and aggregate usage, primarily through Apple. This helps us fix bugs and improve the app.
What we don't collect
This version of PADL does not access your location and does not use your microphone. We don't track you across other companies' apps and websites, and we don't sell your personal data.
Camera and photo permissions
PADL asks for camera and photo-library access only so you can add a court photo or background to a graphic and save the finished image to your camera roll. You can decline these prompts and still use the rest of the app, and you can change the permissions any time in your device Settings.
How we use your data
- To provide the app and let you create and share graphics.
- To respond to you when you contact us or request access.
- To diagnose problems, keep the app secure, and improve it.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run PADL, and only as needed:
- Apple — app distribution and standard diagnostics.
- Our hosting and email providers — to serve this website and handle waitlist or support messages.
- Authentication provider — if you sign in, to verify your identity.
- Instagram and other apps — only when you choose to share a graphic to them.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of PADL and its users.
Keeping your data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Waitlist and support emails are kept until they're no longer useful or you ask us to delete them. Graphics and identity details you store locally stay on your device until you remove them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including the EEA and Spain under the GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@padl.xyz and we'll respond. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority; in Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Children
PADL is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll provide a more prominent notice.
